In addition, as an employee of the State of Minnesota you are eligible to receive:

Up to 29 vacation days per year depending on length of service for full-time employees. Part-time employees receive vacation leave based on hours worked.
13 sick days per year for full-time employees; part-time employees receive sick days based on hours worked
10 scheduled holidays and one floating holiday each year

Other forms of paid leave vary, depending on the union agreement and the employee status; most state employees can expect compensation for: leave to vote, related court appearances, relevant training and education, weather emergencies, jury and military duty.

Unpaid leaves of absence may be granted by state agencies for education, illness, parenthood, personal reasons, precinct caucuses
