Many homeowners struggled to make their mortgage payments during the pandemic. Some homeowners fell behind for the first time ever. Reduced hours, layoffs and business closures hurt many Minnesotans and affected their ability to keep up with their housing payments.

If you or someone you know has fallen behind due to a financial impact during the pandemic, the HomeHelpMN program may be able to help.

HomeHelpMN is a mortgage assistance program managed by Minnesota Housing.

HomeHelpMN can provide up to $50,000 to pay eligible past-due expenses. These may include mortgages, manufactured home loans, association fees and property taxes. Best of all, the assistance does not have to be paid back.

Homeowners facing the risk of foreclosure, tax forfeiture or potential displacement from their home will be prioritized for assistance.

The program has a limited amount of funds, so now is the time to apply before funds run out.

Think this program may be right for you? Visit the HomeHelpMN website or call 800.388.3226 to find out if you’re eligible. Translation and interpretation services are available.
