Rehabilitation Loans to People with a Disability Dashboard

What does the data tell us?

Since 2019, Minnesota Housing financed nearly 600 rehabilitation loans to households with disabilities. In 2024, Minnesota Housing financed 278 rehabilitation loans of which 53% (148 loans) were to households with disabilities.

Why does it matter?

The State of Minnesota is committed to ensuring that people with disabilities live, learn and work in the most integrated setting. A crucial component of that commitment is making available affordable and accessible housing. Minnesota Housing’s rehabilitation loans help eligible households, many of whom have a disability, make improvements that directly affect the safety, habitability, energy efficiency or accessibility of their homes.

What is measured?

This metric captures the number of closed loans through Minnesota Housing’s Rehabilitation Loan Program by program year that went to households with a member who has a disability. The Rehabilitation Loan Program includes rehabilitation and emergency/accessibility loans to homeowners with low incomes. Minnesota Housing's program year runs from October 1 through September 30.
