The Bridges and Bridges RTC Rental Assistance Program provides housing assistance for people with very low incomes and a mental illness while they wait for a Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) or another rental subsidy. Learn more about the Bridges Program.

This is a new program and information will be posted here as it becomes available. It is federal funding as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This funding will likely be targeted to service providers and developers of new or rehabilitated housing who's service providers provide assistance to clients who need assistance.

Homework Starts with Home (HSWH) is a grant program focused on addressing homelessness and housing instability among students and their families.

The Family Homeless Prevention and Assistance Program (FHPAP) is designed to provide supportive services and/or financial assistance to families, youth and singles that are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless.

The Housing Trust Fund (HTF) Rental Assistance Program provides temporary rental assistance, housing related expenses such as application fees and security deposits, in partnership with supportive services for High Priority Homeless (HPH) families and individuals referred through the local Coordinated Entry (CE) System.

The Housing Trust Fund (HTF) Operating Subsidy Program provides operating support to maintain the economic viability of supportive housing developments that are funded by Minnesota Housing and serve people experiencing homelessness.

The Housing Opportunities for Persons With Aids Program addresses the needs for low-income people who are living with HIV/AIDS and their families. Funds are distributed to states and cities by formula allocations and made available as part of the area's Consolidated Plan.

The goal of the Regional Planning Grant is to support the planning capacity of Greater Minnesota Continuums of Care (CoC) and Tribal Nations to prevent and end homelessness while improving the regional homeless response system to help it more equitable.

The Property Owner Risk Mitigation Fund (RMF) Program was established pursuant to Minnesota Laws 2023, chapter 37, article 1, section 2, subdivision 9(b). The RMF Program is intended to reduce risks to property owners in efforts to expand housing opportunities for households with barriers to accessing housing or those unable to obtain housing without additional funding coverage or guarantees in place. Grant Proceeds are used to create or expand risk mitigation programs to recruit and engage property owners, reimburse property owners for damages or other eligible costs, link property owners and renter households to tenancy support services, and establish other strategies to support property owners serving eligible households.

The purpose of Section 811 PRA is to expand the supply of supportive housing that promotes and facilitates community integration for people with significant and long-term disabilities. This program also advances Minnesota's Olmstead Plan, a series of key activities to ensure people with disabilities live, learn, work and enjoy life in the most integrated setting possible.
